Just back and broke! I got a 17-40L, extension tubes a LowePro and a CF card (though they are the only things more expensive over there).

Here are three photos that I have had a chance to work on from the trip.

The bigger versions are on my Flickr site.

    Hey

    I like 1 and 3.

Pity the middle window in No.1 was ruined by the person. Would have been nice just to have person on right window.

3 is a good catch - well seen.

    Seriously? :( I'm heartbroken.

Love the 2nd one. It just says New York life to me.

Hope you had a great time Danny. I'm heading over in a week and looking forward to it (unfotunately B&H will be closed :()

It's just a personal viewpoint!! The person on the right looks like a spy from an old movie and the B&W adds that feel to it.

Have a look at my stuff and feel free to make me cry!

Hey Slumped, that was tongue in cheek. Damn this Internet. Thanks for your critique, honestly. It probably would be better with just the woman on the right but the woman sitting is my better half so I cant say too much ;-)

    Why didn't you say so.

It's a lovely photo. But, of course, they are all lovely. :-)

Fine shots, Danny. A refreshing alternative to the usual touristy stuff.

I really like 1 and 2. great composition and B & W conversion. Well done on the 2nd one. I got shouted at in a subway station in Boston for taking pictures. Apparently i could have been a terrorist casing the joint and how would they know, so they shouted at me over the intercom system to stop! :) I was mortified..
