Microsoft Office 2003

I have Office 2003 installed on my machine. I can use it fine on my account, but when my girlfriend uses it on her account, office installs every time she opens any kind of a file i.e. excel, powerpoint, word files. She double clicks on the file, and then office install box appears on the screen and installs the specific program she wants to use.

Why does this happen, and how do I stop it from happening?

Sounds like your girlfriends account has lower privelages that your own. Escalate them to power user or admin, should fix it.

Sounds like a corrupt profile delete the NTuser.dat file in her profile and reboot, or just create a new profile and copy desktop, favourites etc across.
