Frank and Lorenzo get claws into Pride?

Okay, so rumours are all over the net about Pride going under because they lost TV. Recently mmaweekly confirmed a story that Pride USA President Ed Fishman has taken out a breach of contract against Pride Japan for ****ing up their April show and also for now paying them as per contract for promotional work done for the two Pride USA shows that have already happened.

The business set up between Pride USA and Japan seems odd..... DSE provides fighters and matches, Pride USA promotes them for a fee and gets PPV and ticket sales cuts but does not hold fighters contracts.

According to rumour Pride USA had been making big bids to buy Pride Japan from DSE, but i can't see them sueing if they made a succesful bid. It would be pointless.

So that knocked out one of the bigger runners.

Then we have rumours that Frank and Lorenzo Fettita made and offer that is in early stages of acceptance for fighter contracts, Pride’s video library, and the Pride FC name brand. Thats pretty much everything you need to keep Pride going.

THEN you get an announcement that Chute Boxe's Mauricio "Shogun" Rua has signed maybe the most unique fight contract in history, signing two fights for Pride and two for the UFC under the SAME contract.

SO, have the Fertitta's bought Pride? And if so under what name? It's all getting very interesting, especially for Chuck Lidell, who now has to think about Rampage, Machida, a guy called Cro Cop who can cut to 205 and now Shogun. :D

It's over at sherdog now. Chuck Vs. a second rate Wanderlei will now be possible.

    THE UFC NOW OWNS PRIDE!

Does anybody know if Bravo's deal is with UFC directly, or Zuffa. In other words, are we gonna get Pride for FREE too???

    Make that 2+2=4!

This could be awesome, or the worst thing ever.

UFC is owned by Zuffa i.e. UFC is Zuffa (they also own WEC)

Indeed, but there is no guarantee that the F Bro's bought Pride ( if they did buy it ) through Zuffa.

I understand this, but UFC is run by Dana White, he is the manager, and I assume he makes promotional deals etc. on behalf of UFC, without need for the parent company (Zuffa) to be involved, so I was wondering if Dana (i.e. UFC) made the deal with Bravo, or did the parent company make the deal.

I don't know if Bravo have WEC, but if not it might suggest a direct deal with dana/UFC managment

    Or maybe I'm completly wrong, after all I'm only a P.E. teacher:D

My understanding of all the latest rumours and stuff is that Zuffa is owned by the Fertittas with Dana as a minority shareholder, Zuffa owns the UFC, Dana is president of the UFC. Pride seems to have been bought by the Fertittas, without Dana.

Although personally I think they'd be mad not to involve Dana in Pride in an advisory role at least since he's been able to publicise and sell UFC so successfully.

Where this leaves us Bravo-wise I have no clue.

Maybe we'll get UFC + Pride on Bravo and then Eurosport can start showing K1-Heroes on overnight tape-delay :D

Yeah that is true but with sakakibara standing down but the rest of Pride staying,I'd say that Dana White will run that aswell or they hire someone new
