This sums up for me why this forum has gone rapidly downhill in the last 12 months.

Pointless post giving no insight and adding nothing to the forum or the thread, horses name not even mentioned.

Is it any wonder a lot of the long standing contributors to this forum are seldom around anymore. 12 months ago it was a pleasure to be around this forum, now it's worthless for the main.

Sorry. Well I'm a regular contributer here of late and am on the mark 90% of the time. Lot of money won.

Oronoco Flow in the 5.55 in Clonmel. Currently at 25/1 (going out on betfair).

Got word from the owner that he's in with a very good chance. He loves the ground, and the jockey has been eating nothing but minted peas for the past month.

if you actually bothered visiting the forum often enough ud realise that when conz mentions a horse its because he has word. hence why there is no need for an explanation. i do agree with you that ppl should explain why in general however...

12th -be careful taking tips off owners as they tend to see things thru rose tinted glasses especially syndicate members who think they are bullet proof -plus if u gonna make a comment about the jockey eating nothing for the past month please check u know what u talking about he rode lighter than this 11-4 check the stats -these type of off the cuff comments can lead to people getting sucked in thinking u know what u talking about -

hopefully my comments will help you when u give the analisis of ur next tip -

If there's any sheep on here who can't make their own decision with the info Conz gives then that's their baaaaa-d luck!!! His info is usually pretty decent and i for one am always interested to see how horses he gives a heads up on run - also, this site could do with a serious sense of humour check at times....too many righteous snappy people on board(S)!

knighted i think the minted peas part was wat we know in the real world as a joke:eek: it is true that owners do do this as do lads quite often, but you cant rly complain when a 25/1 doesnt come anywhere can you?

There is a sticky at the top of the board for horse racing tips. Tripe like that which was posted yesterday only leads to other conzs doing the same resulting in the forum becoming a waste ground of one line tips with no reasoning, explanation or expansion.

I've been around long enough on this forum to see it happen in the past, thankfully the mods have been very quick to nip it in the bud before.

Probably the best piece of advise when it comes to taking tips. Not only do owners see things through rose tinted glasses but they are usually told by the trainer that the horse has a great chance when realistically it doesn't. Trainers will tell the owner what he wants to hear.

If I'd a euro every time I was told by an owner his horse had a great chance I'd be a very rich man.

Most jockeys aren't much better either.

sorry if my comments offended anyone but the truth hurts -and often the printed word reads different to what it should -

but i do give good advice -i myself used to have rose tinted glasses but they dont match my outfits nowadays (my attempt at humour)

and i didnt back the 25/1 tip -i wouldnt dream of backing a tip from this or any other board unless it has an analysis attached to it that makes sense and has objective and informed views -some knowledgeable people on this board thats why i hang around -
