Saw these on flickr earlier... loving that metallic, dark look, something a bit different. Fabulous stuff.

Fantastic macro's. Detail in the first one is amazing.

I love the imperfection. So often you see perfect leaves and petals, but not damaged petals like this. Nice captures!

Cracking shots, especially the first one. Think I'll be heading over to the botanic garden again this weekend and maybe try some orchids..... your shots have given me the urge.......... :D

nice shots, what kind of processing did you do to get copperish contrast in the first one?

    Thanks for the lovely comments.

cambo_gueno i love the imperfections too, that was my main aim to capture a beautiful picture of damaged/dying flowers.

FreeAnd.. I use Picasa to file and edit the pics, what i did with this was if i can remeber correctly is tuned it and then increased the shadows a bit and then shapened it.

Then I would say that you've hit higher than you've aimed. They really are quite striking..

Great shots, great results from picassa too.
Maybe you should do a tutorial over in the darkroom, its mostly photoshop there and I'm sure people would like to see something new there...
