Anyone know when this is out?

I checked on Game.co.uk and it said 23rd.

    Looks like a good game..

It's got a pretty good review on IGN too. Not one I'm thinking of getting, but good to see that the game isn't quite a straight port, extra missions etc...

I will definitely be getting this when i can get abit of cash money together. Remember renting out the PS2 version last year and really enjoyed it, can only imagine its way more enjoyable with the Wii controls.

I really liked the game on the original xbox but finished it there so am wary of picking this version up cause I think it will be too much repitition to the original. Anyone out there who's played the original a good bit say whether or not this is worth picking up?

Apparently, it's pretty much a direct port of the XBOX game (which i rented and really liked but never actually picked it up) but it's got a few new elements thrown in - fangly new control system (which is supposed to kick arse, such as holding the numbchuck and Wiimote close together and shaking them violently to choke someone) and also a hit squad.

Bought it on Adverts this evening so will let you know more when i get my hands on it.

There are nearly twice as many missons as well.

I picked it up and have messed around with it for an hour. Will get some play time tomorrow night.

Controls are excellent, very responsive, intuitive and loads and loads of fun. As far as controls go I would say this is a second gen Wii Game, if this is what we have in store then I am happy.

Gfx are muck and the story is very good. The free roaming is cool and driving is fun.

As usual with GTA style games sometime you just want to go around causing havoc, it does not seem tohave as much to do as GTA (that I have seen, no ramps, not as many cars) but the story is way better and you can start your own rackets.

Got 6 quid off in smyths because of the loyalty card and I am happy. :D

Wouldn't say we're round to second gen games quite yet! :o

I loved a bit I read in a review which said it shows how much more the control injects into the game when you see a load of armed guys ahead, and you switch to your baseball bat to take them on instead of the gun, simply cuz it's more fun (even though you'll die a lot more!) :D

I'm thinking I'll have to give it a miss if it's going to be too similar. I liked it on the X-Box but the locales were all repeated throughout the entire game which got very boring towards the end. Might just have to encourage a friend to buy it so I can borrow it for a few days

I put some more hours in and am liking it a lot.

Baseball bat or shovel are great weapons, but you will be tempted to smack someone who gives you lips. If they then produce a tommy gun you get Iced!!

I have played it on a number of TVs and my setup seems to show the graphics the best, it is a 20 inch widescreen philips CRT and the Wii is connected through RGB scart.

Hidef LCDs with component seems to bring out jaggies and other unpleasantness.

Ive been shaking down a number of businesses and having a blast, will play more tomorrow... :D

This and Excite Truck as the two best Wii games IMO, with COD3 just behind. I got tired of Red Steel when the sword fighting became too tough and I got stuck.

    Yea, It is.
Its very like GTA but you use the remote to hit/shoot people.
Really enjoying it. Nothing like beating the crap out of someone with a shovel!!!:D

Was up to four this morning (and last) playing this and I love it. never getting tired of pistol whipping someone, banging their head off a cash register and then chucking them off a building....

Graphics are pants yes, but it's just so bloody enjoyable with the new motion controls :)
