Using Maestro\Laser online, particularly a First Active card

    Before we start, i know about this, I didnt wish to derail it.

    I have contacted First Active about the lack of use of my FA Maestro\Laser card online.

    Response 1:
    FA: You are not supposed to use it online, it isn't intended for that purpose.

    Me: Take a look at this, 'If you enjoy shopping online with your Maestro debit card, MasterCard® secureCode™ will give you added protection against unauthorized use of your card.'

    Response 2:
    FA: It will work after chip & pin goes live after 17th March.

    It still does not work on a site that has laser and maestro listed , example, www.call13434.ie

    I just wanted to gain others opinion on what they have been told as once again I feel Irish consumers are being given a bum deal.

    I heard the AIB cards are going to get a revamp and that they'll be more recognised on the Internet for shopping.
