    Hi Guys

Maybe someone who knows this area can help me with this...

I want to add a Blog to a new web site I am getting someone to develop for me. (its a self defence web site)

Now I know, having an active Blog on your site with good content is a good way of getting people coming back, and also a good way of getting your sitevup the SEO rankings.

I know zero about what sort of Blogging software to get.

Can anyone advise me about what is good Blogging software...

And also...how do I attach my Blogg to my web site...like do I get the web designer, to make another web page that the blog sits on or what?

So far a download a few free e books on blogging, but they cover all the basic stuff...have good relevant content...etc etc... I am aware of all that already.

I need more of a Technical bit of advice, for a techno blog dummy like me!

    Thanks lads

    G

    http://wordpress.com/

its free and highly popular and you could buy or find different free templates for it.
    Easily used by virtually anyone

all content is controllable from an admin control user interface
and you could set it up your self

to put it with your site you could create a seperate folder for the blog and upload all the necessary files there

    e-g..... www.yoursite.com/blog

or create a subdomain and upload necessaryfiles there

    eg............ blog.yoursite.com
