Recommend me a USB interface

Im looking for a cheap USB interface for my laptop to do a bit of (guitar) recording.

My guitar preamp has speaker/mic emulation, so i dont need any Line6 modelling or any of that, all effects will be done on a rack unit before going into the computer.

Alls i really need are 2 1/4" inputs to record stereo to two tracks at once, a mic input, and some outputs for headphone/speaker monitoring.

Obviously, these are pretty simple requirements, i dont need many features, so just looking for the best quality unit i can get, for say about E150.

    Any recommendations?

If you can splash out an extra 50 quid one of these would be ideal: http://www.thomann.de/ie/edirol_ua25_usb_audio.htm

Or browse here for more options: http://www.thomann.de/ie/usb_audio_interfaces.html

    Cheers.

I see the ones on thomann alright - theyre all pretty much the same to me, i don't read reviews of these things, and don't have a preference over any particular brand. There seems to be a good few with similar features in the same price bracket, and i was just wondering if anyone had good/bad opinions on any of them.

Haven't used that Edirol interface myself but have heard first hand accounts, apparently its pretty good value for money. Heard the same about the M-box and the Presonus Firebox. I use an E-MU 1616 myself and couldn't be happier with it.

I like the tascam US 122 L. The difference in this price bracket are really quality or prescence of pre amps.

The Soundtech Lightsnake looks good, check it out. It costs around €50
