Took a few shots over the weekend of some weird cloud formations, and a few other landmarks around the suburbs of Dublin -- up on my first page of flickr -- any feedback welcome (good and bad ;) )

hmm - someone has a cloud fetish!

    This one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/thebaz/429345982/

What's the focal point of the shot?

Some of your shots are quite good - but some look like holiday snaps.

That's not necessarily bad but if you want C&C, my C&C is that they look like random tourist type snaps.

I like the dual carriageway one. Something about the damp look to the road makes it stand out to me.

Maybe my brain was too frazled from too much Paddy's weekend celebrations, and i was seeing what i thought were floating wonders in the sky -- but were merely common snapshots -- :D -- the more of photography i do, the more i think partying doesn't mix.

Some great cloud porn there, if you're as mad into good clouds as I can be, you should try playing with a polarising or IR filter to shilouette stuff.

I seem to be in Dublin every few weeks at this point, and I'm always happy to rant and rave about what I do to the point of catonia in most people.

yeah , i just got a polariser filter a couple of weeks ago , but wasn't in great shape over weekend and forgot to try it out on the clouds -- next time !

They remind me of that ambient/acidy thing by the orb -- fluffy clouds
