A friend of mine from hong kong is considering a working holiday in Ireland for a year. Can anyone tell me what is needed to apply for this visa?

Is it a student visa or just related to age country of residence etc?

Is there some stipulation to having proof of savings before coming over here?

Any other general advice would be appricated. :)

Usually persons coming over to Ireland on a Student visa are given a Stamp 3 by the Department of Justice, Equality and Law reform. In order to get this they have to prove that they are self-supporting befrore entering the State. i.e have E7,000 in savings to support themselves for one academic year.
