what qualification for sales

    If someone wanted to have a career in sales ,what degree would be best to do, business and marketing I supose am I right?

    To start in sales you need experience, a leaving cert and some cop on. If you don't have experience then go to a place like CBG/Autotrader/BuyandSell and convince them that you're the right person.

    If you wish to climb the ladder I'd suggest working while getting a degree as I'm sure who ever you're working with will agree to put you through college if you're good enough.

    But I'd always advise that you get experience before you decide to go down the college path. Take a year out and work 1 or 2 sales jobs and see how you fare.

    IMO sales is the same format everywhere, you have your target, your amount of calls you should hit per day and your speech.

    The reason I say try it first is that of the 7-10 people I know who went into sales, 1 has lasted more than a year - so you have to be prepared for that.
