Hey Folks, Does anyone know if you are allowed to rent a room if you own an affordable house? I cant seem to find a definative answer anywhere. Also I know that if I am allowed that I have to register the room. Does anyone have more information on this, perhaps someone who's been through the loops on this. PDD

You can definitely rent a room with Fingal County Council, don't know about the rest. It's your home to do with what you please as far as Fingal are concerned (as long as you don't move out and rent the whole thing!).

I agree with this. I had my final interview with Fingal last week, the nice lady told me that I could rent out a room if I wished - and I didnt even ask her!

    Hi Guys,

I eventually got in contact with someone from KCC and they told me it was possible to rent a room. Cheers for the feedback.
