WoW Error

    hey guys, having the error popup when i log into my character. i was in ashenvale and the game quit.

    Error Says:


    This Application has encountered a critical error:

    ERROR #131 (0x85100083) File Corrupt
    Program: F:\Program Files\WoW\WoW.exe
    File: Data\common.MPQ

    Cached Read = Decompression failed
    Raw Read = Decompression failed

    Press OK to terminate the application.




    any help would be appreciated.

    Ahh common, the file F:\Program Files\WoW\Data\common.MPQ is corrupt. Not from what I have seen looking at the patch loading screens is that that file gets updated every one.

    Re-install.

    ah its kool i got it fixed. for anyone that doesnt rly want to re-install just use the repair tool in your wow dir. goes through all the files and repairs the common.mpq file and downlloads a fresh one.
