Are the Euro PS3's coming pre-loaded with the 1.6 firmware? My internets is down right now at home so I won't be able to update for a while...

No it wont be pre-loaded but you can request a disc to be sent by Sonys Customer Service.

Nah, I'll have the net back a few days later. I guess I could look for a download of it online. If you can get them (same as you can for the psp). Still annoyed that I won't be able to download tekken or flow though!

Well Shadow of the Colossus works fine which was my number one concern, but Okami has issues which was my number two concern... Hmm wonder what the definition is of 'noticeable issues' - on the 360 it varied from the textures being messed up in one specific area in Jade Empire to the AI being completely absent from Monkey Fight...

Don't think there's many other games I'm too pushed about. FFVII isn't even on the list but it's running just fine on my PSP so I'll live.

Hmm, on closer inspection. No guitar hero :(
Well the 360 release will have to do me!

And Street Fighter Alpha Anthology will work, oh yes!

Timesplitters Future Perfect works no probs. I'm a happy chappy seeing as I've just started playing it online.

Play Pro Evo online only and only use Ps2 for beer fuelled games so thats not too bad.

Okami and Gow2 are the main ones for me as im not buyng any ps3 games with it.

:( I was hoping it was me that was wrong.

Its kindof strange that it isn't there, although looking at the rest of the games in the series its unlikely to be supported fully.

yes it does, did you read the list? It does say it will work, but with 'some issues'

Only the first Pro Evo works ok, all the new ones are in the lowest bracket with: Should play on PLAYSTATION®3 with noticeable issues

I doubt that means its too playable.

    We'll see on friday!
If it works ok then im trading in my ps2, if not then im keeping it til the new one comes out!

Yeh, strange that FFVIII and IX work but not VII :/

Although the former are 'newer' games i guess, ah well.

I can see them releasing VII through the PlayStation store.

This list is little to celebrate about. Sony's lack of serious commitment to further improving the software b.c. is very poor too.

I read on the American website that you can download the update to a USB stick as long as you have it properly labelled and stored. Just don't download it from that site because as far as I know Europe will be running a slightly different version.

Anyone who gets it on friday and has a copy of Final Fantasy VII, would you mind testing it out? I'm very curious!
