Vai plays Dublin again on July 24th (Venue TBA)

Its not a tour for an album per se, and the band won't be his usual band, so its going to be something different, maybe with a violin virtuoso, and playing stuff hes never played live before.

    SHould be interesting

Billy won't be there unfortunately, Tony McAlpine wont either.

He doesnt have an album to tour, basically he just wants to get out on the road this year, because he's expecting not to be able to for a couple of years after this one. The setlist will be whatever he feels like - old stuff, the more orchestral stuff, brand new stuff written during the soundchecks. Probably he will write and record one brand new song at each concert for a live album (the same as what he did for 'Alive in an ultra word')

He hasnt even decided on the band yet, and the tour starts in late June. Its going to be very fresh and improvisational, it should be pretty good.

it's looking really interesting, I like the idea of something fresh.........
and apparently Billy Sheehan and Tony MacAlpine will be touring Europe with their own project in Sept.......

As long as I can bring me Jem and get it signed, I'll be happy! I was away with work when he came the last time.
