I want to buy a new hard drive for the Targa lappie I bought in June 2005 (the one in it is a Samsung: 80 GB 5400 RPM).
I've looked at eBay but they never list Targa in their compatibility lists and I don't want to buy unless I am sure it will be OK.
I was just wondering if anyone here has bought a hd for a targa and could they tell me where?

The interface on the targa will be no different to that of any other laptop. So it will work no matter what make hard drive or make/model laptop. As long as its a 2.5" hdd that is either ide/or sata depending on your laptop.

^^^ what he said, afair Targa is just the branding on the laptop (like on DELL machines) but the components of the laptop could be made by any number of manufacturers. As long as it is the same form factor and ATA standard supported by your laptop you will be fine.
