Can any one tell me the line up for NTL's Go Digital Select & Go Digital Max?

I cant seem to find much information on there site other than an image of *a selection of channels form the go digital select pack*

About to sign up to NTL (only one I can in apartment block) but no one can tell me the channel line up. Rang NTL and he didn't have a broucher at hand so he is posting one out for me. For the second hand!

Also what kind of equipment do you get from NTL? Never used digital before. Any model info etc would be great.

The list of channels used to be on the website, www.ntl.ie, but isn't anymore.

Here's the main points of the Max pack:
    * The Irish terrestrials, Setanta Ireland, Channel 6, and City Channel
    * BBC ONE and TWO Northern Ireland, all the domestic national BBC digital television and radio channels (except 1xtra and Asian Network.), as well as BBC World and BBC World Service.
    * UTV, Channel 4 and all its associated digital channels, and Men and Motors.
    * Most Sky channels (not Sky Three, Sky Travel and its associated channels).
    * Most UKTV channels (not UKTV Style or Gardens though)
    * Bravo and Living (but neither Bravo 2 or Living 2).
    * Practically all Discovery UK channels.
    * Nickelodeon and its associated channels.
    * MTV and its sister channels.
    * The EMAP music stations and their associated radio channels.
    * A handlful of UK and Irish ILR stations.
    * Sci-Fi, Hallmark, British Eurosport, Attheraces, TV5, Jetix, Cartoon Network, Toonami, CNBC, CNN, and Euronews are among the others.

As for equipment, its supplied by Pace currently. The current STBs are nice and small, but the remote control is rubbish compared to that originally supplied (which thankfully I have!). EPG is rubbish and doesn't work properly, especially being useless around 23:00 as it often won't tell you programmes for tommorow even at that stage. Has a rather useful Browse feature though which IMO works better than its Sky equivilant.

Discovery Wings is now Discovery Turbo
Adventure1 is now National Geographic Wild

These are channel replacements by Discovery & NG, not by NTL

That list is from Summer 2006. Since then, the major changes to Digital Max have been the addition of Eurosport and Setanta Golf and the removal of 2-3 of the crappy music channels(altho some people here seemed to love them). Film Four is also standard now on Digital Max and some other packages, rather than a premium add-on.

Note: Setanta Golf is a premium add-on and requires subscription to the Setanta Package

    BBC4 doesn't open until 7pm, so you're probably seeing a black screen..

    Thanks B

But in the past I was able to select the channel before 7pm. The listing just goes from 116 up to 120 now. It skips a few channels.

Try plugging out your box for 10 seconds, let it boot up and try then, it usually sorts that old problem.

Maybe a new feature? If the channel isn't broadcasting / subscribed, it just let's you skip it? Nice if it is, more likely a bug.

Don't bother getting the Pace box or whatever standard box they use now.

Get the DVR, the EPG is 7 days and works fine. The pace box is painful and should be avoided at all costs!

    Hi celtic

thanks. I did that and it worked. Something similar used to happen before, but not for at least 6 months. I thought that NTL had got their act together. But I suppose it's the box and not NTL.
