I need to upgrade the ram in my computer i have one free slot.
this is the ram i need
i have 512ram in one slot though it will take a 1gb. total possible of 2gb.

i was wondering if i can put the 1gb shown above alongside the 512.

never really heard of anyone having 1.5gb of ram.

1.5GB is indeed feasible there are some hidden catches in certain scenarios but as you state the motherboard supports up to 1GB per slot then it must support dual sided DIMM's.

FYI you can buy the required RAM much cheaper here for €78 and Crucial RAM has a much higher compatibility rate when mixing & matching different brands.
