You can download a small program which will work just as well as MSCONFIG that will work for Windows 2000 called StartupCPL here.

another q. Is there a free download that will find and fix registry errors? Anything i download will detect errors and then request payment before fixing them.

Great little program! I have 10 pcs here I use for training. For the want of a better term I am "giving them a service" I have done the usual scans etc for viruses / spyware etc, defragged, cleaned the HD. Any other suggestions on what should be done to the computer to keep it in tip top shape??

I do occasionally reinstall the O/S.
