what's a good bb speed ??

    I know , I know how long is a piece of string ?
    but what is a decent BB speed ?
    2MBPS ? 4 ??

    whats the average for wireless net connections ??

    Whatever speed you get, you'll get quite used to it and soon you'll want even more speed!

    I think 2 Mbps seems to be pretty standard ATM, even for fixed wireless. I wouldn't recommend much less than 1 Mbps up and 256 kbps down for a good experience.

    i got 10 Mbps on a speed test last week. thats a good speed imo. i want more though

    how can i do a speed test ??

    sorry excuse the silly questions but apart from hovering my mouse over the
    WIFI symbol can i dl a file and get stats on it ?
    but i suppose that depends on the other end aswell ??

    Mossy is on Casey's Cablesurf if I remember correctly who are only available in Dungarvan.

    I'm on 6mb NTL which has been allocated 6557kbit of bandwidth (tested using a cable tester).

    that is correct. upload could be faster though
