3D Software Required...

I'm not exactly sure on where to place this (since it's to do with Engineering, Graphics, Science and probably several others too) but here goes nothing. If I'm wrong on this mods, apologies.

I'm looking for (free, preferably) software. All I wish to do is to have a plane which I can input various X & Y co-ordinates into and at these various locations to place either negative or positive movements in the Z direction.

I'm sure there's something simple out there - anyone have a clue?

    Thanks in advance!

Yeah I've had a look at it but it doesn't suit what I'm looking for. Thanks anyways.

Download the 30 day demo of 3dsMax... it saves etc etc. If it doesn't do nothing will.

Blender is free/opensource... might be overkill, but AFAICR it has a transform-type-in.
The interface feels like it was designed by escaped mental patients, but other people seem to like it.
