ISEQ Index data

    Hi

I'm trying to get data for a 10-year period on the ISEQ index so I can graph it with the CRH share price which is charted in the excel file (how can I do that seeing as the ISeq will have values much higher than CRH's share price?), I was on the ISE website but while the facility exists to get this data the site times out before it can.

It's this page here I'm using, I want data from the 16 March 1998 to the 16 March 2007, any ideas?

    http://www.ise.ie/app/indexHistory.asp

Is there another website that would have this data?

    Thanks

Lots of ways, you could look at the % daily change in each and graph that, or % change over the period and compare them.

Doh thanks for pointing that one out, the % daily change in each would be the best one to do I reckon.

    Thanks.

Just thinking about this again, and I'd say the overall % change would be a better one to graph, don't think % daily change will give you much info.

Set 16/03/1998 as your base of 100% and then calculate the value for each day basing it on this first value, should give you a much more informative graph.

But try both and see which works for you!

If you're doing this to compare returns, don't forget that CRH will have paid out dividends over the period too which will not be reflected. (I think their yield was about 1.5% a year)

Not to measure returns really, just to show CRH's share price over a 10-year period and compare it to the ISEQ index over the same period.
