Cash vs STT

From playing exclusively STT's and the odd MTT, i have been successful with $5 on tribeca as it was know.

I would class myself as a winning and improving player. Basically building a BR for higher games.

Now, with the merge with IPoker and loosing a few buy-ins struggling to adapt to the new format (Weak huh), I have lost interest and started getting into cash games, still doing the odd STT and winning again.

However as a cash game player I seem to be breaking even, slightly up (but not much) and am wondering.

    1. Should cash games and STT's be played together. Multi tabling and just in general.

    2. Do the styles tend to hinder eachother?

    3. Why in cash games do i loose big on my big hands when they go bad, and win F*** all when i hit :(

    1&2
I play between 4/6 tables of PLO and 2/4 stts ATM at the same time and dont think its a problem.

    3. maybe your playing your big hands very predictably but I've never played that much cash so just a suggestion

1+2. I genuinely think that most people are best suited to 1 form of the game - personally I get more of a buzz playing the bubble of an STT (the stake doesnt really matter to be honest) than I do from playing cash games.
But as I understand it some strange/warped people seem to do better in cash games and good luck to them.
The styles don't necessarily hinder each other, I just think its better to find out which suits you, and specialize in it.

    3. Dear Lord, will people learn the difference between 'lose' and 'loose'?. Seriously its probably just short-term variance.

    AJ.
