every time I buy a pair of headphones for my ipod, one ear goes in them pretty soon after I buy them.

I think its because I wrap them aro8und my ipod and the wires come loose. I don't know

Can anyone tell me how to fix it/prevent it from happening/ about a decent pair to buy.

The skull candy ones seem pretty decent

    1. You're right about one thing - wrapping them around your iPod can strain the wires. Don't do it. Get a pair of head-phones with a cord reel (or something similar) so that you can roll up the cable when not using them.

    1. Don't get cheap ones. Go for a good brand like Bose, Sennheiser or Shure head/ear-phones. (Personally I prefer headphones to earphones - don't like things sticking -in- my ears - but to each, their own.).

The problem might not be with the earphones, rather with your players reception port for the jack.I've had similar problems with a number of different walkmans and mp3 players down through the years and i eventually realized that that was what was causing the loss of sound.

Trying another pair of headphones would test that out.

By a set of Sennheiser MX500's they come with a case. Or something like a Sennheiser PMX100
