Hey guys, I'm looking to start MA but I'm stuck between
    Portmarnock Judo
    Swords Judo
    Rivervalley Taekwon-do

Portmarnock is probably closest to me but the taekwon-do looks good (on youtube anyway) I'm 15 and have never done MA before. Anything to say about those clubs? Thanks:rolleyes:

Go along to them all - most places will give you a couple of sessions for free, then pick whichever one you like the most!

Any decent club will let you try a few sessions for free. Use this to see how you like the instructor, and your potential class. See if you like the vibe and ethos of the club.

I would recommend SwordsJudo over Portmarnock Judo because there are more people your age in SwordsJudo.

I love TaeKwon-Do, but a lot of people see the sparring and think that is what TKD is all about. You might be disappointed if that is the area that interests you as you will have to wait a while to start sparring, but it is worth the wait.

I know the instructor there is Stephen Cooley. Don't know his number but the club itself is beside the shopping centre where the Millenium used to be. If you drop in there I'm sure they'd be able to give you the details.

    Thanks hammerhead

I think we are better more so for the younger players youths, leo has years of experiance in teaching Judo, there is elenia as well who was on the russian squad some great techniques,

But for good hard randori in dublin at senior level, Coolmine and Portmarnock are great
