A triumph of style over substance.
Few films look this good, although admittedly each story is fairly similiar to the last. Not that I mind - they are all pretty good. Fine cast as well - Elijah Wood continues to do his creepy ass thing after Eternal Sunshine.
Well worth a watch, even if it is nothing more than superior popcorn entertainment - which lets be honest is all one wants sometimes.

    Tbh if I wanted to read a comic I'd buy a comic ;) .

Not sure why this is nominated as "Film of the Week" as I'd assume a film has to have something special about it to warrant that.
SC just has the novelty factor of a literally adapted live action comic and once you get past that the film was forgettable.

Tbh im not a huge fan of Sin City. Its very much a case of style over substance. Yes it looks great and is worth seeing because of its unique style but the stories are very average in my view. Once you get used to the style of the movie then you just left with a couple of average stories that are nothing special at all.

This is the first Film of the Week that I think doesnt deserve the honour

can it not be celebrated for what it is? its not trying to be a deep movie, it wants to be stylish, it wants to be cool, it wants to fit in T&A and violence aplenty & it does it all with plenty of panache. I thought this was a great movie, just taking it at face value! If I'm looking for something deep, then I wouldn't stick it on, but then again, thats never what it was about!!!

I love the scene in the car with Benicio Del Toro and Clive Owen:
"Ooooh those hookers let ya down!" Haha. :D
