Hairline crac

    Hi,

I've stripped back the old plaster in my house (1930's) and there's a hairline crac between my house and nextdoors. The crac was visible through the plaster, and there was some repair job done on it and was wallpapered over. The wallpaper looks to be ove 10 years old, and no sign of the crac in the wall paper, so I'm assuming the crac happened over 10 years ago, at least. Is this something I should be worried about? Should I be getting a structural engineer in?

    thanks,
    J

It sounds like an old settlement crack, if nothing else is apparent elsewhere then don't worry about it.

If the wallpaper is still intact then its probably nothing but for peace of mind it might be advisable to get either a structural engineer or even a good builder to have a look at it.
