My gf has a Packard Bell Easy note laptop. I want to add some RAM to it. Can anyone tell me how do i find out what type of RAM i need to get??

Also, I read here somewhere that a computer should NOT have more than 1 AV program installed. As a matter of interest why is that?

    Cheers in advance!

You can use the scanner program that Crucial.com has or select the make/model and it will bring it up for you.
Having more than 1 anti-virus can slow your machine down considerably.

Thats true. Real time scanners check the file before the program is allowed to access it, to make sure that the file is clean and won't do anything it shouldn't.

Also, AVs don't tend to recognise each other very well, so if one was to catch a virus and move it to its quarantine, the other may pick up on it there and move the file to its quarantine, where the first AV will detect it again, and so on and so forth.

On the bottom of the laptop you find a serial no , go to the Packard bell site and search for your laptop with the serial no: all information about your laptop will be in there and any updates for the pc
