Adding site as a "trusted site"

Problem: I am trying to download a file from a hosted web application. When I click on the file I wish to download a pop up blocker pops up.

I try to add the site as a "trusted site" under the Security tab for Internet Options but it says that the site I am refering to is already set up in a zone somewhere else. It says to delete the site from the other zone before adding it to the trusted site zone.

Question: What other zones are there besides the ones under Internet Options are there? The site I am trying to allow is not listed anywhere in Internet Options window. I have checked in the other security zones "internet", "intranet", "trusted" and "restricted".

I have also added the site to the privacy tab, in the "allow pop ups"...

I checked in the registry and deleted any references to the website too....still not working.

I have tried this with two laptops. My home one works fine. When clicking on the file to download the internet zone in the download box is marked "trusted" at the bottom....but on my work laptop (which does't work) the download box is "internet".

    Please advise.

What type of file are you downloading? What file extension has it?

I take it you're using IE6/7. When you get that coloured bar at the near the top of the IE window, you can click on it and choose to temporarily allow pop-ups. You can also set up IE7 to launch all pop-ups in new tabs instead of new windows.
