    SE 1-2PL

Stacks.... i'm currently sitting on around 675

The button the villain in the hand is Oberon with 175.

A little history before I start...there was a previous incident where in a limped pot the button made it 6 the entire table calls and Oberon pots it to 65... everyone folded apart from the SB who tanked it....

Oberon called with Kx and was beaten by AQs...

Maybe 10 hands later I decide to inject a little action into the game by raising blind UTG for 7...the entire table calls...

Oberon on the button again makes it 65 to go...

I look down at at pocket 8's....

    What's our line.....

If he made this move before with Kx and got burnt its unlikely he will do it again unless he is playing stupidily. Oberon likes to bluff but i somehow doubt he is doin it a second time here. You can gamble here with 88 but it wouldn't be such a good one if you ask me.

    As above.

Against Oberon your rarely in bad shape here. Only hand range your behind is 99-JJ. I think QQ+ he's raising to 45/50 as he'd want at least one customer. When he pots it in this scenario your racing at worst and sometimes in great shape.

I was next to act after the blind raise and i limped with 99 knowing Oberon was going to pot. Halfbaked had the same idea. I'd be pushing and willing to go headsup with Oberon with a middle pair 9 times out of 10 should he call

That's what made me hesitate... i have 6 hands behind me who all flat called a blind raise and we have some good players at the table who could well be slipping under the radar with a monster knowing what oberon is going to do...

Anyway i made it 200 after some consideration and my bet just about got through......thanks to my tank and we went off to the races...

Sometimes i prefer to take a passive line here but with oberon in the equation... i found a raise.

But i'm still not sure if this play was optimal considering the hands behind me.
