Im looking at winning this so this is a good chance to double up, it was pretty obvious though that he had a high pair here, hes putting half hes stack in and leaving half behind with 2nd highest stack, hes not doing this with AK-AJ or 22-88 and i suspected this is probably QQ-AA more often than not here, giving this info am i still pushing all in. No real reads here because im multitabling but the table is playing average to tight and if hes paying attention im playing tight but its not likely at this level

    Full Tilt Poker
    No Limit Holdem Tournament
    Blinds: t50/t100
    7 players

    Stack sizes:
    UTG: t495
    dvdfan: t2222
    MP1: t2762
    CO: t1700
    Button: t2575
    SB: t1796
    BB: t1950

Pre-flop: (7 players) dvdfan is UTG+1 with kh ah
UTG folds, dvdfan raises to t300, 2 folds, Button raises to t1050, 2 folds, dvdfan????

If you really think his range is QQ-AA then a fold is probably in order but I think you are assigning far too good a range to him and for that reason I will get it all in. It can easily be any pair and maybe even AQ-AJ thrown in, I have seen people do that many a time.

im not sure how you can narrow down his range so much tbh.he made a standard pot sized raise 7 handed.i dont find this particularly alarming.

and like you said the standard player at this level hasnt neccessarily been watching you closely.

i get it in here all day.

Yep, i got my read wrong. Its just ive noticed alot at this level (keep an eye yourself) when a player RR or Raises and leaves a small portion of their stack behind it can mean a monster alot of the time. They tend to push all in with the likes of 66 and AQ etc rather than raising because they dont want a caller.

For example they have a 1200 stack with AA-QQ and they raised 700, they seem to say well i want a caller so im not going to push all in but ill put in a nice raise.

In this case the villain was 2nd top tack with 2500 and he puts about 40% of his stack in to raise an UTG raise. If i have a good hand which i should have raising UTG im not folding here as im calling 700 to win a pot of 3000 if i can get him all in so im getting over 4/1 on the call, if hes paying attention my UTG raises range is AK and AA-JJ and possibly AQ so im about 70/30 Underdog against KK-QQ so i should only be worried about AA here. So hes re-raise here shows alot of strength but.......as you said and your veyr likely right theyre probably not paying attention at this level so im over thinking the situation and should ship it.

That i did and i got called expecting to see AA-QQ but he had TT and i didnt hit. If i won this showdown i probably wouldnt have posted this hand but i didnt post it because of a bad beat, 1 i wanted to discuss if your willing to push AK all in at this stage if you think they have AA-QQ and 2 i had a couple of similtaneous hands where i got myself into an all in situation (see other posts) where i felt i didnt need to so i just wanted to get some opinions
