RMP or SMR?

I invariably come across the terms RMP (record of monuments and places) and SMR (sites and monuments record) but I'm still not sure what the heck is the difference between them?! Does one apply to the map and one to the documented list of sites maybe?

No difference except RMP is the new name and is allegedly updated
