Excellent start from the boys :D , could it have been better. Gibbs is a machine!!, sadly iv been at work all day so missed the madness which is really gay but sky should offer up some highlights later.

My heart does go out to the Netherlands, seriously it cant be a fun but at least they're getting the experience.

    Cricket owns :D

    You missed out.

Gibbs, Smith and Kallis filled their boots and snagged a few records in the process.

    1. First time ODI 6 x sixes in an over - Herschelle
    2. Fastest WC 50 - Mark
    3. First time 3 consecutive partnerships over 100 runs - Smith, Kallis, Gibbs, Boucher

And Herschelle earned a million dollars for a charity of his choice from Johnny Walker.

Are you from SA Enduranceman? I'm from P.E. but we've been living here 5 years now.

Yes you're right... cricket owns! Now if only we could avoid the damn ties in the most crucial games and win that damn cup for a change!

    Cheers
    Mike

P.S. Highlights tomorrow morning at 11am on Sky I think

Edit: I forgot about record no. 4: Most 6s in a ODI with 18!

Ye, im from Durban :], been over for about 4-5 years to.
I made sure my brother watched every minute of it, so he filled me in on all the madness.
I was close to tears in the last WC :O, something like that happens in the finals again i might hang myself.
Roll on australia next week, gonna be a cracker.

Yeah... I still have nightmares about the 1999 semi-final of which we no longer speak lest we have flashbacks :D The Sri Lankan episode hit me hard but not as hard as the tie with the old enemy.

I can't wait to stick it to the Aussies. Shane and Glenn have been talking up the 'choker' title again in the last few weeks. I really hope that we can put that misnomer to bed permanently in this World Cup.

Enjoy the rest of the tournament!

    Cheers
    Mike
