Best days racing ever in my opinion!

    2.00 Cheltenham- The Triumph Hurdle

    Selections: FREEZE THE FLAME each-way (37/1 Betfair) , PAUILLAC each-way (23/1 Betfair).

Always a race where it pays to look for value and I like the above two against the field. Charlie Egertons Freeze The Flame has useful course form behind Katchit to his name and has been put away with this race in mind. Charlie can get one ready and I think the extra freshness could be a good thing- I'd side towards this sort of preparation rather than that of Lounaos, who had a tough race against the older horses in the A.I.G.- what was the point in running a 4yo filly there anyway?!

David Pipe's team are in fine form and I'll also be on his representative Pauillac each-way. Another who boasts some good course form behind Katchit, he stands every chance of reversing that form if he settles a little better and the stable are in cracking form. No doubt the horse will be a thousand per cent fit and ready to run its heart out here.

2.35 Cheltenham- The Brit Insurance Novices' Hurdle

Selections: BLACK HARRY to win (15/2+ Betfair), NEGUS DE BEAUMONT each-way (49/1 Betfair)

Can't have Witchita Lineman under any circumstances. Willie Mullin's Black Harry looks an improved sort and he's held in high regard by the stable. An out and out slogger, I think he'll find this test very much to his liking and I'm extra confident with the booking of Ruby Walsh.

Ferdy Murphy has been in fine form all meeting, and his Negus De Beaumont is a silly price at around 50/1. He looks very progressive and is another who will enjoy coming up the hill. I'll be having a decent each-way bet.

3.15 Cheltenham The Totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup

Selections: KAUTO STAR to win (13/8 Betfair), EXOTIC DANCER each-way (5/1 Betfair), STATE OF PLAY 1pt win 1pt place (15/2+ Betfair)

A no brainer, really. If Kauto gets a clear round in, he'll win this no bothers. The chief dangers are the next two in the market. We're already on Exotic Dancer each-way at 8/1, so no need to go in again today. State Of Play is the other one with a chance. He has had an ideal preparation for this and everything has come up right for him. He jumps for fun, has bags of class, and looks almost certain to run a place. No need for a long analysis of this race, these three should have the rest strung out with the washing some way out, and of the outsiders only Forget The Past looks like value. Unoriginal choices here, but I think we have the winner in three, and I may even dabble on a tricast!

    4.00 Cheltenham -The Foxhunter Chase

Selections: FIRST DOWN JETS each-way (20/1 Betfair)

Second in this last year and looks tremendous value against the fav. Has had an even better preparation this year and if he jumps around (he isn't the biggest) he certainly has the engine to win this. One of my bets of the meeting and I'll be playing up some of yesterdays winnings each-way here. Stonking value.

    4.40 Cheltenham- The Grand Annual

    Selections: DEMI BEAU each-way (10/1+ Betfair), URSIS each-way (17/1).

Demi Beau is a class act and has been laid out for this. I think he could win this impressively and go on to better things, but at a price Steve Golling's Ursis looks to be in with a shout. A fine lepper of a fence, he can race close to the pace and make his fluid jumping count. He has the stamina to go beyond this distance which will be an asset on the gruelling final climb.

    5.20 Cheltenham- The County Hurdle

    Selections: WHISPERED PROMISES each-way (33/1 Betfair) , CARACCIOLA each-way (14/1+ Betfair), O'TOOLE each-way (169/1 Betfair).

One of the races of the festival with a whole host of talent on show. I really can't wait for this one and the form will be worth paying attention to for future reference, mark my words. I've taken the approach that this'll be won by an in-form, well handicapped 2m hurdler who can battle and has been laid out for this. Out go Fair Along, Arcalis, Ouininpojha et al.

Whispered Promises has some cracking form and rates a knocking bet at 33/1. Third behind Detroit City and Straw Bear last time, second to United giving her 4lb previously, and second to Overstrand giving him 16lb before that, his form in handicap hurdles is as good as you're going to get. He will be ideally suited by these conditions and his jockey rode a winner for us yesterday. No need to say more- I'll be having a right go on this one.

Caracciola also boasts some excellent hurdle form and looks to have been laid out for this. He may be a little high in the handicap but he is streetwise enough to handle the hustle and bustle of this contest and looks sure to go close.

The unexposed O'Toole carries 9-8 here and may cause a huge shock. Won a lesser race convinvingly over course and distance last October, and may be better handicapped than he appears to be. Philip Hobbs is in form and whoever is trying to make money laying this at 169/1 wants their head examining.

    Enjoy!!!
