Hey all,a friend of mine is buying a house and theres a 3bed for sale in Roschoill but at €340K, she thinks its too dear. I think its better value that Deepforde or Grange Rath and was just curious as to what others think? Is she better off elsewhere?

In honesty seems like a reasonable price for a 3 bed on the South side of Drogheda and you're in walking distance if the pub and the train station!!

3 bed semis in grange rath are goin for €365k plus:

and the 3 bed townhouses are €350k plus....

Roscohill is a nice estate and the house should hold its value/appreciate well...

Don't you know that no-one in 00's Ireland buys houses to live in any more - unless they can flog 'em in a few years for a huge profit??!!
Quite simply - Ireland is house bonkers.
God help the future generations that have to clean up the mess we have created in the last seven years.

House price risk at the moment is all on the downside, i.e. house prices are more likely to fall by 20% than rise by 20%. She should consider whether she needs to buy right at this moment.

Half a million US dollars for a 3 bed semi in Drogheda? Will never be good value in a million years.
