Need Help With iPod

    Hi guys,

    Hopefully someone can help me out, i have connected my iPod to the pc in work and when i open iTunes ut tells me the iPod is in recovery mode and i need to Restore. I have done this and when it ha finished wiping everything of the iPod it still sayd that it needs to be restored and that it is still in Recovery mode. I have restored 3 times now and it is getting on my nerves now...:mad:

    Any help is great

    This can happen if the USB port you connect to is a low powered or shared port.

    On my PC , the two front USB ports are low powered , i.e. the ipod will not function properly on them , I get exactly the same situation as you describe, the ones on the back however , work fine !!

    Try that and see what happens

    This is really weird, i am at home and tried the iPod on my own Laptop and guess what it is working.........Very strange indeed....i have no songs on it so will have to start from scratch again.........

    Oh well i blame the work PCtongue.gif

    Did you install the iPod software on your work PC?

    yeah he did, he says so in his opening line "i have connected my iPod to the pc in work and when i open iTunes" :D

    But even if he hadn't, the lack of itunes would only cause the ipod to appear as a removable drive, unless like in this case its being plugged into a low powered USB port.
