How true is this? Should I be fishing eBay for bargains? Games are going to be really expensive and would like to save some money.

At the moment all games are region free, but they could decide to region lock games at any point, so just getting the EU model, and grabbing all the region free games while you can may be the best option if you just want to save money on titles.
