Surprised that there is not much talk about this.

Anyway,I have my ticket to the Hogan stand.Surprise that they have the football on first.Does anybody know the reason for this? Its unusual in my book as the hurling (no disrespect) is less exciting than football and I hope that when the football is over, the atmosphere won't go dead for the hurling.

    Whats peoples take on this?

The hurling was on first last year, and the football seemed rather slow moving after watching the sliotar flying up and down the field in the hurling, so I prefer the football first.

Different people will have different opinions on which final should be on first - I thing it should alternate every year.

As regards the finals themselves, I think Crossmaglen will win the football. They seem to have a more balanced team than Crokes - if Eoin Brosnan and Gooch Cooper are marked out of the game, then Crokes are pretty limited.

    Cross by 4+ points

In the hurling, I would love Loughrea to win it but Shamrocks are the safe bet. If loughrea attack from the start, then they have a reasonable chance, but if they give a lead of 5 or 6 points to Ballyhale (like what they done with Portumna in the county final) then they will be destroyed. If greg Kennedy marks Shefflin and if Brian Mahoney is fully fit (in order to mark Cha Fitz) then they might have a chance - providing their forwards score more than normal.

As you can see, a lot of things have to go right in order for Loughrea to win - Ballyhale by 6+ points

What's the point in having rules when Oisin McConville is allowed take 11 steps with the ball to ensure there was a draw? Crokes were robbed.
