Woke up and thought...bank holiday weekend, friday, the traffic will be really light, so I fired up the Mustang. My normal journey is 40mins in start-stop traffic, did it in 20mins, no traffic lights.

It is so brilliant to drive the car to work, if only everyday i could do that! Anyone else drive to work in their classics, or just on special occasions?

I've had the Alfa in with me all week for a change, even makes being stuck in traffic more bearable :D

Yep, have drove it to work for the last 6 months, pretty much every day. No problems so far, but I have plans to make it easier on the car, such as making the cooling fan cut in sooner. Also need to change the engine mounts, to smoothen things out when its idling in traffic, and get the ac working for the summer!

Word of warning to all you classic car owners, Lidl are selling car cleaning products at the mo and I was attracted by the price of their engine cleaner,1.70euro or something silly like that, anyway great at removing the dirt, unfortunately it was also great at removing paint!, I will be in Halfords looking for some Radiator paint if anyone needs me!

When it comes to cleaning products you get what you pay for - stick to the good known brands! Auto Glym Engine Cleaner is very good and won't do any damage ;)
