Aye, and beside Gas/Ga5, it has two stripes, just like a certain other amp

How these guys keep a straight face i dunno. I cant wait for the 'messy boogers' for a hundred quid:D

Well, i presume Epiphone/Gibson had a hand in the visual design of their valve juniors, so unless Harley Benton is owned by Gibson, that counts as a copy in my book.

Played one of the HB acoustics: ridiculously good for the money.

TBH, i started this thread more in jest, because it reminded me of the recent 'Bugera' amps, where they have opened up a 5150, copied the circuit and called it a 6260..:D

But really, if they come up with a head version of this, it would have to be what, 70 euro? If i could crack that open and get access to the power section, and run a separate preamp through it, that would be pretty interesting for the money....*scratches chin*

Interestingly the front end of a VJ is pretty close to that of a plexi... the power stage is a bit voxy.. EL84 all the way like... I wouldnt be rushing out to use just the power stage.

I love EL84s, ive had them in a rake of boogies ive owned, and they are pretty much the only lower wattage power valve around in any case, most amps around 5 watts or thereabouts are EL84.

Its the pre section i wouldnt rush out to buy, not enough gain for my liking;) My current pre has 6 12AX7s in it, im thinking thats not enough for me...
