I am not sure if I lost value on either of these hands and would appreciate comments.

    1/3 Live PLHE

    Hand 1

Villain is a good player, who I cover [am playing about 450] but I don’t know his calling range pre-flop.

I raise in mid position to 10 with KQ. 5 callers to flop.
    Effective stacks 250

    Flop: K 10 8 rainbow [pot circa 50]

Early position villain leads for 50. I am only caller.

    Turn: K [pot circa 150]

Villain leads for 100. I flat call.

    River: 6 [pot circa 350]

Villain check to me. I know he has at least a king. Check or bet?

    Hand 2
I call straddle for 6 in late position with A6s. 6 players to a flop.

    Flop 10s 8s 5s [pot circa 45]

    Ep 1 bets 10 [playing about 200]
    Ep2 calls 10 [playing about 300]
Mp pots to 65 [playing about 300]

Action to me [playing about 600]

Do I flat call and hope for more action behind me, or get my money in now and slim the field?

Bet 200 in hand 1 as most players would not check a house on the river. I expect to be called by weaker hands or get no action. Simple value bet.

I would flat call hand 2, hoping more players will call behind or maybe the initial raiser might push putting you in an excellent position to go over the 600stack

he said effective stacks 250, isn't clear if that's the effective stacks of the limpers or the villain

guess it doesn't matter all that much anyway.

I'd probably just püssy out and check behind the first one, depends what is meant by "a good player" though. I like calling in the second one, there aren't that many cards that kill your action or your hand and the pot is big enough that you can probably get it all in on the turn.

my bad, just read the 450 part, whats the point of including how much you have if its not effective stacks

Anyone fold the flop in hand 1? I check behind on river, looks like an underfull to me. If he's a good player I can't see many hand in his range that you beat.

    Hand 2: call is good

unsure about hand 1 tbh.i think villian can play KJ/K9s like this.i v/bet river most of the time without a strong read.

hand 2 if villian is bad i raise and expect to stack him vs. 2 pair/set/smaller flush.if villian is good i think i flat call.

if villain is good then he never has AK here, unless he plays that hand in particluar very passivly. he could have KQ, KJ, KT or even J9 trying to represent a hand and after your call on the turn had shut down.

hand 1 i call for value from behind, with the hopes of getting it in later or on the turn.
