I have a HP DC7600 small form factor PC lying around that I want to use as a Media Centre PC. Specs are as follows:

    CPU: Intel Pentium 4 (630) 3000MHz 2048KB (L2 Cache)
    RAM: 1GB
    Hard disk: 80GB 7200RPM SATA
Video: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 DVMT (Dynamic Video Memory Technology), onboard, shared memory up to 224MB
    Audio: Realtek ALC260, onboard
DVD/RW: NEC or TSSTCorp DVD/RW, possibly external

Full specs of the PC can be seen here:

I want to be able to record NTL cable (analog and digital) and watch content on my TV. PACE DI300 N set top box (the silver one), scart out only. I would prefer an external TV tuner since the PCI slots are low profile

    Any help appreciated.

Well any analogue external tuner like this one should do the job if that's the case.

You will of course have to convert the scart output from scart to composite or s-video via a converter.

Also what media centre software are you using ?
