Anyone got any good suggestions for takeway luncheon fodder around baggot st/stephens green areas? Im sick of sambos and rolls, are there any cool places that sell noodles or oriental style stuff around the area? hot or cold? Got some nice noodles from gerards the other day but fancy something new...

Im not sure how far down baggot street you are but if nearer the stephens green end, run up to wagamamas for something nice and quick.

Do you have a microwave at work? Make your own food at home and bring it in for lunch next day. Stir fries, curries, stews etc. You won't go back!

It's worth taking a walk to Baggot Street and checking out Donnybrook Fair. They have a noodle bar and the food is just amazing. I went there myself at lunchtime, I have one of the worst hangovers ever and I nearly wept with joy. The nosh is second to none and they have a huge choice of salads and other stuff too.

Sushi King, Orange Square on Baggot St. Lwr.

Govindas on Merrion Row, next to Bagel Factory, also Merrion Fare do nice lunches, eat in or take away.

Itsabagel on the lane opposite the gates to the Taoiseach's Dept on Merrion St. is great too. Nice salads, if that's your thing (wouldn't be mine).

National Gallery does some nice soups every day.

Wrong forum for this too! Take your pick of the Dublin Forum or Food & Drink.

To answer your posed question - nope. Eat them everyday, same filling, without fail. Sometimes for both lunch and dinner. Never gets old...

Start making your own lunches and bringing them in with you. Cheaper, tastier and more choice.

    Seconded. Great value for money

If you can get a space to sit I recommend Cornucopia on Wicklow Street. Hummus plate with a salad for 6.50. Yum. Or 4 amazing salads for about the same.

Don't mention meat in the place lest you get a beating.

Cafe Ire is also excellent. It's in Temple Bar near the Central Bank/ Music Centre.

Donnybrook Fair is great. The #13 wrap with cheese (no tomato) is my favourite. They do a lovely cold paprike chicken and fruity couscous thing too. Yuuuum

Cross the river and go to the Epicurean Food hall or what ever it's called. Lower liffey street.

There's also that place on the street perpendicular to the North end of Grafton Street, can't remember what it's called. Nude or something. Great value for money and great food.
