Long time poster, but ye’ll appreciate why this in unreg. This could be long. Please bear with me.

I arrived home last night to find the house empty. My housemate’s PC was on. There were some videos I’d meant to get off his hard drive from nights out drinking, but not knowing exactly what he’d named them I did a generic search for videos. Herein lies the problem. I saw things in the results I never want to see. There were titles like “teen model-string bikini” and “preteen girls”. I didn’t open any videos because I was afraid of what I might find. I genuinely felt sick to my stomach and quickly left the pc without getting the videos I wanted.

I’ve known this guy for 2 years, been living with him for the last 6 months, 4 of us in the house in total.

What should I do? Can I confide in another housemate? One is a really good friend but if I tell him he’s liable to beat the **** out of the owner of this stuff.

Should I call the gardai? What if the videos don’t contain enough to constitute child pornography? I’ve thought about nothing else since last night and had trouble sleeping.

Whether the videos contain nudity of not I’m utterly disgusted with this guy. Please, I’m doing my head in… Any advice would be great…

Disconnect / disable network connection. Phone Garda. Do nothing else.
