Wii games region free??

My friend just told me that all Wii games are region free, I amn't too sure about it but he seemed quite confident so can anyone clear this up for me? Thanks

Just something I have been wondering, and I'm too lazy to find the other thread, would the region trick with the Wii for GC titles not work with Wii titles?
Has anyone tried it?

Nope, that was a GC-games-only thing. For region free Wii'ing (lol) you'd probably be looking at some sort of modchip, unless the Freeloader guys can come up with something for the Wii.
