You appear to have a bright light eminating from the back of your skull. Perhaps this is the cause of the baldness?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,382 ✭✭✭petes

No thats the light here in the office bouncing back off my skull.

Brother, you're so lucky! Give it another year or two and it'll all be gone. By then you'll never need a haircut ever again. You can spend all the money you save on pizzas and beers instead :D

what baldness Brother ? you are positively chimp-like :)

i've posted my own penalty spot(s) before, but the most recent haircut has forced me to look at investing in a pair of clippers.

question : can you sucessfully shave yer own head, or do you need to trust yer missus ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 394 ✭✭sportswear

i cut my hair. none of this barbers ****e for me.

does a grand job and you never have to pay for it.

also have a massive bag of my own hair that i have been accumilating over the years. which will eventually be unleashed on some poor unsuspecting.....

you can do it yourself no prob. i use two mirrors to make sure the back is alright. i've used it for 4 years and it cost €20

if i had gone to the barbers about once a month for all that time it would have cost me €384 and loads of my precious precious time. a good saving i think :)

I subscibe to the theory that Male Pattern Baldness (MPB or penalty spot to you) is due to hydro-friction and shower-head angle. I don't allow shower nozzles to point at my 'thinning' bonce anymore and I have convinced myself it is working...

    'cptr

PS. I AM NOT POSTING A PIC OF MY BALDY HEAD FOR ANYONE TO LAUGH AT...

Brother Interceptor, you have entirely missed the point of this forum. It is not a place where one is mocked for their lack of hair or need for a larger belt, it is a place where the brethren can revel in such things and admire a brother's particular outstanding example of one or the other or, even better, both. You may post a picture of your bald pate without fear of ridicule, instead you will most likely receive some admiring "oohs" and "aahs", should the standard be exceptionally high.

brother r3nu4l, your thinning hair displays remarkable consistency.

I, on the other hand, am rather unfortunate in that the hair on my right temple is receding faster than that on my left. I therefore don't refer to my condition as 'male pattern baldness' as there's no frikkin' pattern!

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,399 ✭✭✭✭r3nu4l

Ah brother Pill it does indeed seem that way from that photograph but I can assure you that this is not the case. I too have had excessive thinning on the left hand side initially, although the right-hand side is catching up!

Right now, if I look in the mirror I can safely say that the left hand side still has a shade more thinness than the right hand side. Strange indeed!

How much time do you spend in front of the mirror then ? this would be the casual glance as you happen to pass by the mirror, or are we talking about a full on awestruck admiring gaze fest ?

Personally, if I happen across a mirror, especially a full length one, I feel the urge to disrobe entirely and gaze for hours upon my finely crafted physique, noting the complex play of light across my hairy shoulders, neck, chest, back, guts (!), alabaster thighs and finely dimpled butt ... occasionally I lapse into a day-dream featuring nekkid people fighting injustice and righting wrongs with our dangly bits flowing free in the wind as nature intended.

    Mmmmmmmmmmm Nekkid Justice Squad.

My wife controls all the mirrors in our house now.

As long as it takes to clip what's left of the hair on my head brother trout. Funnily enough, not as long these days as 5 years ago :D

Brothers, partake ye not of Saw Palmetto (available at Holland and Barretts) which is alleged to absorb the DHT chemical that causes baldness.

It can trigger a condition called Gynecomastisia (basically 'manboobs' to you and me).

Its important to distinguish between 'bitch tits' and 'man boobs'. The former result from hormone imbalances caused by, say Saw Palmetto or some anabolic steroids, the latter result from a good old fashioned fat friendly lifestyle and are therefore something to be proud of!

Bitch tits can occur on otherwise slim guys whereas man boobs are generally complemented by a nice round symetrical beer-gut. What would you choose!?

The distinction is important Brother Pill ... I concur ... the only chemicals you need for true moobs are found in hops, barley, yeast and pizza. :)

    I don't rate teh falsies.
