    I think you are referring to Celeron, they are the budget processors. Centrino is a brand that consists of (usually) a powerful processor and wireless functionality.

    Centrino core duo notebooks consist of a dual core intel processor, an intel wireless graphics and generally include intel onboard graphics as standard. I have a centrino single core notebook and I find it very good. The battery life is great as the processor uses less power than a standard chipset and therefore I get 3 to 4 hours battery life.
