It's a pretty dismal film alright but hardly most played :) I'm beginning to think that Jurassic Park and Jumanji are entering that sphere and may nudge out old classics like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory over time :(

Don't get me started on "Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory btw, I really hopw they continue showing the Gene Wilder version...I have it on DVD just in case :)

Interesting, I never seem to notice Jurassic Park being on. Movies I notice that seem to be on alot are, Die Hard (the first one) and any of the Rocky's, there will always be one on during the week on one of the digital stations.

I'm talking more about Terrestrial TV, particularly around Christmas :)

its a big dumb film, ideal for the beer swilling public that dont go to the pub anymore because of the cost, which is why its escaped the christmas season. ya gotta admit its alot more fun when your drunk (you can play spot the flying cow :) , or drink a devastation wherin you knock back a shot everytime the stars have a near miss !)

by the way im talking about terresterial TV too . dont have digital, wish i was getting star wars that much

I would certainly agree with the opening comment. Seems to be on at least once a month. Of all the films they could have picked, it is indeed a bizarre choice to be on everytime theres a two hour long gap in the schedule (well three, plus news break).
Although the entire Jurassic Park series (Parts 2 & 3 of late) are catching up fast.

    ...and any of the Rocky's...

Yes, but those films deserve to be shown again and again...

A Time to Kill is on over and over too. At least it's worth it for the "Yes they deserve to die and I hope they burn in hell!" line. Makes me think of Dave Chapelle lovingly.

I thought it was just me who thought this about Twister, it must be shown at least 5 times a year. Which is 5 times too much in my opinion!

Deep Impact is on a lot too, and Lethal Weapon

No contest, Bond films are the worst for this.

Yeah OP is right about Twister. I remember seeing the ad on RTE last week and thinking they just showed it a couple of months ago. It's a fairly average film within its genre.
