    #1 raise preflop, fine
#2 is pretty bad, just call preflop or fold
#3 is close fold unless you've seen him do it before light
    #4 is fine

    Ahh questions on my levels.

    Anyway

Hand one: is fine, no comments needed

    Hand 2: I wouldn't play a 100bb pot with 88, your flipping at best. I don't see the point in the 3bet pre-flop?

    Hand 3: Meh

Hand 4: I think I find a fold here, although it's marginal. Could be trying to steal it, after you checked behind on the turn which I don't understand why. Actually I call the river.

    Hand 5: Bet every street.

    Hand 6: Fine.

Not too much wrong with any of these hands, apart from the 88 which seems a bit wild to me.

    hand 1 is standard.

hand 2 seems ok to mix it up like this occasionally but i certainly wouldnt make a habit of it.also wouldnt do this without reasonably strong read.

hand 3 seems standard from what ive heard about how frequent 3/4-betting is on fll tilt recently.

hand 4 looks fine.id expect to be ahead enough of the time to make this a profitable play.

    hand 5 i v/bet river.

hand 6 i expect to be behind here a decent % of the time but going broke for less then 100bb's with QQ isnt criminal.

    Hand 1 - Fine
Hand 2 - Cant comment as this is read/flow dependent. Against an unknown it's very ugly
Hand 3 - Again cant really comment
Hand 4 - Played it well
Hand 5 - I'd bet the river for sure. I think checking 2 streets is fine there.
    Hand 6 - Looks ok.

    1 - Fine
2 - Not sure I like the 3-Bet against the BB for half his stack, if it had of been the SB I'd prefer it, at best you're flipping, at worst you're a 4:1 underdog, probably just call or fold to the original re-raise. It would all depend on what was happening at the time.
3 - Without a read I just fold, but again it would depend on what has gone on recently.
4 - Seems fine as played post flop, but I just fold to the re-raise pre-flop some times. We're unlikely to get paid much on an A hi or J hi flop by a worse hand.
5 - I'd probably bet either the turn or River, but I don't think there's anything wrong with checking the whole way on a board like this, it's good for our image.
6 - Seems to have played itself, unlucky if you are beaten by AA or KK.

I checked the turn because I'm not getting value off a worse hand, I lose the min when I'm beat, and he might try and bluff the river.

lol it's a funny old game!!

you either won all of them or lost all of them - both are v possible.

you played them all fine - this 3/4 betting lark is getting a bit popular.

i'm really thinking that you won them all and that $1k is in the bag!!

...your too young to remember kill 'em all ?????? god i love the old sh*t

Aye I got that whilst typing out my reply. Hence the advocate of the river call.

I get the feeling you're over-compensating for the preflop aggression increace in these games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,894 ✭✭✭✭phantom_lord

There's been a fair bit of history in the button vs blinds battles, where I've defended, or they've defended against my steal or whatever. anyway, results.

    Villain had...

    1. 1010
    2. QQ
    3. 99
    4. 88
    5. 1010
    6. AA

    I run bad.

88 was a bit overly agressive, calling would have been better.
qq, hmm, he had stolen a good deal, and I had played back a bit, this was the first time he had 4bet it, came very close to folding pf/

Still think you should bet flop and turn in hand 5.
    What's your aggression factor?
